Have a look at our Whisky board ! On the left-hand wall, in between the two TVs, we now have a board with  more than sixty whiskys you can enjoy here with the help of that great emporium Rabbie’s Drams in Sandgate. Their age, strength and price per nip are there for all to see. Why not have a wee dram ! If you don’t see the one you want ask as we stock around ninety whiskies now ! And, while were talking about it, why not have your wee dram in one of our ‘Limited Edition’  Twa Dugs Whisky Glasses ? A steal at only three quid !

After a very successful trial run our second barrel of Ayr Brewing Company’s Leezie Lundie at 3.8% is also delighting our discerning Real Ale customers. Did you know that in the last week they had brewed their ten-thousandth pint already ? Great stuff ! And, from next week, we will have their ‘new brew’, Jolly Beggar, on board with a palatable 4.2% ABV.

We’re also shifting some of the award-winning Deuchars IPA from Caledonian at 3.8% at present.

Looking forward to Christmas ? I bloody well am ! One of our ‘guests’ this year will be Kelburn Kristmas Kracka. We shifted two barrels of this stuff over the holiday period last year and it’s safe to say that I’ll be shifting some as well. At 6.5%, what do you expect ? A fabulous brew ! We will also have one of the award-winning ales from the Orkney Brewery and it’ll be Clootie Dumpling at 4.3%. Not looking forward to Christmas ? Bah, humbug to you with bells on then !

Welcome to the Twa Dugs Blog.

Here you will find information on upcoming Entertainment each weekend, all the latest Sport on TV, Drinks Promotions, our latest Real Ales and our monthly newsletter, The Dugs Bollocks!

Don’t forget, ‘How Far Is The Nearest Pint ?’, Captain Bob Shields’ Booker Prize-winning autobiography, can still be picked up for two pounds here at the Twa Dugs. The perfect Christmas present for someone you don’t like ! If you’re really lucky, he’ll even sign it for you although, of course, that would devalue it because you know how books go down in value if they’ve got scribbling in them.

Please contact padayr@yahoo.co.uk  if you wish clarification of any of the happenings going on at the Twa Dugs !
